LONGMONT, CO – Dr. Karen McCormick, candidate for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, continues to grow the statewide support for her campaign with today’s announcement of support from Rep. Leslie Herod:

“From her service as a volunteer ESL teacher with Intercambio over the past years to her commitment to offering health insurance that included extensive reproductive health benefits to the employees at her veterinary clinic even prior to the ACA, Dr. Karen McCormick is a progressive who lives her values. I know that this is how she will lead in Congress, and that is why I am excited to endorse her campaign to represent Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.” sais Rep. Herod.

“From her role as a co-founder of New Era Colorado to her time as President of Colorado Black Women for Political Action and so much more, Rep. Leslie Herod has had a significant impact on communities across Colorado and has been an incredible voice for underserved and underrepresented communities in our state. Her myriad of legislative accomplishments as a freshman Representative show what a unifying force she brings to the capital, and I am humbled to have her endorsement in my race,” said McCormick.

Rep. Herod joins the growing list of Colorado legislators who have endorsed McCormick including Sen. Lucia Guzman, Sen. Irene Aguilar, Rep. Jonathan Singer (Karen’s own representative in the General Assembly) and Rep. Mike Foote. McCormick is the only candidate to have the support of any sitting or former state legislators in the Democratic primary for Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.
