Longmont – Karen McCormick, DVM, the Democratic challenger to incumbent Republican Ken Buck in Colorado’s 4th Congressional district, has outraised him for a second fundraising quarter. McCormick was the first Democratic challenger to outraise a Republican incumbent in Colorado this cycle when she outraised Buck in the third quarter of 2017. McCormick doesn’t take corporate PAC money.

Ken Buck raised $161,850 from April through June, the most recent reporting period. In the same quarter, McCormick raised $183,515.74, beating Buck by $21,665.74.

“We are a small-donor driven campaign that listens to the people of the district, and we are grateful they are responding and supporting our campaign,” said McCormick. “Too many middle-class families are still struggling and feel left behind. Wages are stagnant, and inflation has already eaten up whatever small gains working people got from the tax cuts. The farm bill mostly helps big business, not small farmers. And I’m concerned that a trade war and tariffs will hurt Colorado agriculture.

“I think the working families of the 4th Congressional District deserve someone who truly represents them, not special interests and Beltway insiders. And I will be proud to listen to them and serve them in Congress.”
