Media advisory for Friday, August 24:
August 20 2018

Karen McCormick will speak and answer questions from the public tonight during a candidate forum to be held in in Trinidad at the Miners Museum, 305 W. Main St., from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. McCormick will arrive in Trinidad between 4:00-4:30 pm and will be available for interviews before and after the event. McCormick will return to Trinidad Sept. 3. for Labor Day events.

Veterinarian and small business owner Karen McCormick is challenging Rep. Ken Buck in Colorado’s fourth Congressional district, which includes the towns of Trinidad, Greeley, Longmont, Castle Rock, and Parker as well as most of Colorado’s eastern plains, spanning 22 counties in all.

Though members of Congress traditionally use the August recess to visit their districts, Buck has held few events and appears to be laying low after McCormick outraised him again in her latest filing. McCormick, meanwhile, has scheduled several public events as she continues her 22-county district tour. She will return to Las Animas County Sept. 3. for Labor Day events including walking in the Labor Day parade, a visit to the Ludlow Memorial in observance of Labor Day, a meet-and-greet picnic, and meeting with local officials and business leaders.
